Delete your account
You can delete your Elms Care account and the data held with it at any time — in the app, or by writing to us if you can no longer sign in.
In the app
The steps are the same for every kind of account.
- Open Elms Care and sign in.
- Open the Settings tab at the bottom of the screen.
- Tap Delete account — the last item, below the app version.
- The app asks “Are you sure you want to permanently delete your account?” Tap Remove.
- It then warns that all your data will be completely lost. Tap Yes.
Your account is deleted and the app returns to the sign-in screen. This cannot be undone, so save anything you want to keep — a note, a document, a photo — before you start.
By email, if you cannot sign in
support@elmscare.comWrite to us with the subject Delete my Elms Care account and the phone number your account uses. We check that the request comes from the account holder before deleting anything, and write back once it is done. We answer within 2 business days and complete the deletion within 30 days.
What is deleted
Deleting your account removes the account and the data held with it, including your profile and your sign-in.
What we keep
Deleted data can remain in our backups for up to 90 days, after which it is erased. Crash reports are kept for 90 days and are not linked to your identity. The details are in our privacy policy.
Removing only part of it
You do not have to delete the whole account. If you only want to stop caring for one person, remove that person's profile instead. You can also delete a single note, document, photo, medication, other plan item or emergency contact, or remove a caregiver from someone's care circle, and keep everything else.
If you are the person being looked after and a family member set up your profile, ask them to remove it, or write to us at support@elmscare.com.
